Three stateroom/four head layout plus crew cabin aft with fifth head, twin Caterpillar C-18  1,150hp each, twin Onan generators, 1800 GPD watermaker, extensive electronics array, Naiad stabilization, hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, and much more.

CRONOS Specifications

Walkthrough

Every aspect of CRONOS’ layout was custom-designed by the Grand Banks design team to maximize efficiency and translate luxury space within the 72-foot yacht.

Step onboard CRONOS onto beautiful, teak decking in the cockpit and on the swim platform. For safety and swim, you’ll find mega-yacht style staple railing on the swim platform as well as a deployable swim ladder. A transom door to access the crew area and engine room. Port and starboard steps and doorways lead from the swim platform to the covered aft cockpit. There are two end-table cabinets at the far aft portion of the salon, to both port and starboard - designed to house important items which are either commonly needed or to be accessed quickly from either inside or out. A large beautiful inch-and-a-half thick bullnose varnished teak table stands ready for use in front of the large forward-facing settee, supported by stainless steel pedestals.

Heading forward on her port side the wide side decks and perfectly sized custom oval rails and gunnel provide safe passage while transiting her side decks. There is a side entry door to access directly into the engine room and crew area providing two separate entrances along with the transom door.. A forward midships boarding gate for easy boarding at any dock in combination with the swim platform. The starboard sidedeck mirrors the port making it very easy in any condition to transit bow too stern.

Walking forward, the Portuguese bridge sits at the bow with two settees to port and starboard. There are two large lockers for dock line and fender storage mirroring the sides of the windlass. The pulpit was designed with enough space to handle two anchors with dedicated storage for the two sets of chain. The wide sidedecks are finished in Awlgrip non-skid in the forward areas of the yacht and flybridge.

Access the flybridge from the inside staircase opposite the galley on starboard side in the pilothouse through a stainless steel hatch. The upper helm station is on leftline with duplicated electronics and a double STIDD helmseat. There are two large L-shaped settees facing two yacht style tables with an egress down the leftline. This entire space is covered by a lighted hardtop and crystal-clear three-sided enclosure.

Walking aft there is a wet bar with two Miele grills, sink and icemaker. The hydraulic telescoping crane easily deploys the sport boat style inflatable dinghy in minutes. There is a direct access staircase to the cockpit which, like the stairs to the pilothouse, are easily navigated walking style rather than having any sort of ladder feel. The entire space of the flybridge is generous and quite open. There is plenty of room for future installation of more storage or gear, or as it is currently configured there is just a great feeling of openness and space for entertaining.

Freeman double sliding doors lead into the open salon from her large aft deck. The salon sole is solid teak planking, surrounded by an accent of holly all around the exterior edge of the sole. All throughout, the cabinetry is solid teak and of a traditional, raised panel design with push lock dead-bolt style catches for added safety.

The salon features a large L-shaped cream leather settee to starboard, two swiveling barrel chairs stationed opposite to port with two cabinet-style movable cube coffee tables with storage. The entertainment left is custom-built on the port side. The majority of the sole is protected by a custom cut matching cream colored carpet.

Forward of the salon is the formal dining area featuring an L-shaped settee complimented by two custom dining chairs in teak and leather. The dining table is a beautiful teak table with inlay design. Opposite the dining to starboard is a bar and china storage cabinet, as well as the main electric panels and service.

Up three short steps is the fully equipped U-shaped galley to port featuring a four (4) burner electric stove, convection microwave, Miele dishwasher and a compliment of six (6) Sub Zero fridges or freezers and an abundance of storage – perfect for long-term cruising provisions. CRONOS features custom overhead folding dish lockers to maximize storage along with keeping the gorgeous sight lines open.

Directly forward of this open concept galley is the guest very comfortable bench set at helmseat height facing forward to be used as a companion helmseat featuring a folding custom table. The Lower Helm is on left, with a double electric STIDD helm chair as well as the full suite of electronics (please see electronics section for details). There are port and starboard Freeman watertight doors for quick access to side decks.

Head below deck down the spiral staircase to the landing and companionway leading forward and aft to the various staterooms. The master stateroom sits amidships and is full beam featuring a king size low walk around berth, private his and her mirrored heads to port and starboard with a generous size glass (60-PSI pressure) shower leftline which connects the two heads, and an abundance of storage.

The VIP stateroom is positioned forward and features a queen-size berth with en suite head and stall shower, hanging lockers, storage cabinets with shelving and drawers. The third stateroom is to port featuring twin berths, also with en suite head and shower.

The separate washing machine and dryer are ingeniously tucked into a space inside the day head.
